Michael E. Chisholm

Michael E. Chisholm is the founder of MEC Law and a seasoned attorney with years of experience representing homeowners, condominium associations, and commercial enterprises in their claims and lawsuits against first-party property insurance carriers. His career has been dedicated to protecting policyholders and ensuring they receive the coverage and compensation they are rightfully owed.

Mr. Chisholm has extensive experience in complex property insurance litigation and mediations, handling cases involving hurricane and storm damage, fire and water losses, roof and structural claims, business interruption, and bad faith disputes. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior associate at two statewide, full-service firms where he represented insurance carriers. This experience provided him with valuable insight into the strategies and tactics insurers use,  knowledge he now applies to anticipate and dismantle those same defenses on behalf of policyholders.

He also served as in-house counsel for a Miami-based international freight forwarding corporation. In that role, he focused on labor law, contract enforcement, and managing corporate litigation, broadening his expertise in high-stakes legal matters and corporate operations.

Michael believes that every policyholder deserves strong, focused advocacy when faced with insurance disputes. He approaches each case with thorough preparation, precision, and persistence, combining aggressive trial strategies with effective negotiation to achieve favorable outcomes. His philosophy is grounded in protecting not just property, but also the peace of mind of his clients.
